Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and control Install resources and workload effectively.Analyze, modify, and modernize work methods to ensure efficient and timely work priorities are met.Ensure the safety of shop personnel by implementing and enforcing proper safety procedures.Ensure personnel are trained in appropriate safety procedures and processes, promoting a safety-conscious culture.Understand and implement hazardous waste disposal methodologies in compliance with regulations.Supervise shop personnel effectively by assigning work, arranging training, and managing scheduled time off.Evaluate the performance of personnel under your direction and provide constructive feedback for development.Respond to internal and external customer needs promptly and authoritatively, including the preparation and authorization of customer quotes.Act as a liaison between Quality Control Inspector and Managers to address customer concerns and feedback.Work closely with the Quality Control, acting as a QC delegate for the Avionics division.Ensure accurate and thorough completion of technical records, worksheets, inspection task cards and job cards by maintenance personnel.Analyze divisional sales and production targets, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.Devise marketing plans, strategies, and media for advertising to promote the shop's capabilities.Conduct regular departmental assessments for operations and growth, identifying areas for improvement.Work with HR for interviews, hiring, and termination of employment, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.Ensure that all reportable Service Difficulty Reports, Irregularities and other required reports are completed and forwarded to the Quality Control Manager, SMS, and other relevant parties in a timely manner.Promote and embody company's value, vision, and mission, fostering a positive motivated work environment.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Transport Canada Certified AME- E License required.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Shows integrity, ingenuity and assertiveness in the performance of tasks.Must have strong troubleshooting skills with good quality workmanship.Employee is expected to work towards obtaining an ACA.Experience
3 - 5 years' experience in the field.Prior supervisor experience is an asset.
