De Eccher Group, a leading Italian company in the construction industry operating worldwide, is looking for a Post Tensioning Manager to join "The Surrey Langley SkyTrain" project in Vancouver. This project is a 16-kilometre extension of the Expo Line from King George Station to Langley City Centre. Responsibilities :

pursuing the target and improving his project’s efficiency, in accordance with the indications received from the Construction Manager / Project Manager;
ensuring compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines, coordinating with corporate function to adjust them to local needs;
managing the daily responsibilities of site personnel including directing work, disciplining when required, conducting performance reviews, training employees, addressing complaints and resolving issues that may arise during post tension activities;
supporting the Construction Manager / Project Manager in the definition of the project planning and execution, to pursue an effective planning, production, budget management and respect of the work plan;
developing and managing production schedules required to achieve the proposed objectives, defining the required resources (human, administrative, technical and material) to achieve them;
coordinating with Design Office to ensure that the required drawings are available on site well in advance;
signaling to the Construction Manager / Project Manager, all issues and discrepancies that may arise during the work execution;
supporting the Engineering Office to resolve potential issues of technical nature, relevant to the day by day post tensioning activity;
supervising the schedules and post tension operations;
supervising materials, inventories, and supplies needed for post tension;
supervising and managing all subcontractors involved in the Post tension installation and activities;
ensuring that all employees comply with and enforce the rules of hygiene and safety at work and the means of protection found in the Health and Safety Plan.

Requirements :

knowledge of the market, the solutions / services the company can provide, and the company’s competitors;

knowledge of post tensioning solutions and techniques;

ability to organise activities in the framework of the process managed;

ability to evaluate make-or-buy decisions;

knowledge of construction cost estimating, construction scheduling, strong understanding of construction drawings;

knowledge of labour costs in construction, uses, techniques and costs of materials;

knowledge of contracts, legal issues and safety standards;

technical diploma or university Degree in civil engineering;

at least 10 years of relevant experience on similar roles within construction and engineering field / projects;

site experience within multicultural and international environment;
