Habitat for Humanity GTA Chief Financial Officer

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is seeking a values-driven, senior finance leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As the largest of 48 Habitat affiliates in Canada, Habitat GTA operates in the City of Toronto, the Region of Durham, the Region of York, the City of Brampton, and the Town of Caledon. This is a rare opportunity for an innovative, purpose-driven CFO to lead finance, information technology, office services, infrastructure, and human resources at one of the most prominent housing affordability organizations in the region and across Canada.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is a key member of the executive team and a trusted advisor on organizational strategy, decision-making, and leadership. The CFO is responsible for building, leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing, dedicated team—fostering an inclusive and thriving work environment.

As the ideal candidate, you are a CPA-designated, well-rounded finance and administrative leader who is energized by Habitat for Humanity’s mission. You bring expertise in financial management, forecasting, complex financial modeling, and administration, including IT, office services, infrastructure, and HR. Experience with multi-year capital projects is essential. While not mandatory, exposure to real estate development financing is an asset, and experience in residential mortgage administration is highly desirable. You have a proven track record of leveraging technology to optimize financial operations and reporting. Additionally, you excel at leading change in complex, dynamic environments and take pride in collaborating with energetic, mission-driven colleagues.
