Payroll Coordinator

We are a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia, seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. You will be part of a hybrid workplace, spending one day on-site and the rest working remotely. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to payroll processing for our staff, which includes both hourly and salaried employees.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
• Manage and process union dues and claims
• Oversee benefits administration, liaising with our providers, Sunlife and Pacific Blue Cross
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of ROE's
• Apply your experience with Ceridian Dayforce in managing payroll functions
• Maintain and reconcile payroll records
• Manage end-of-year payroll tasks
• Handle any payroll-related inquiries and issues
• Monitor employee accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using Ceridian and Dayforce software for payroll processing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and requirements.
• Experience in managing bi-monthly payroll for a medium-sized organization (101-500 employees).
• Familiarity with the Ceridian Payroll System.
• Ability to manage full cycle payroll processes.
• Experience in dealing with payroll for unionized employees.
• Strong understanding of various payroll functions.
• Ability to reconcile payroll effectively and accurately.
• Proven experience in processing payroll in a timely and efficient manner.
• Experience in handling year-end payroll activities.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and processes.
