We are currently looking for a Site Technician to help build upon a track record of growth and success in the Oakville, Ontario area. This position is responsible for the maintenance and support of our customers' metalworking fluid systems and provides troubleshooting support. Once training is completed, the hours and work schedule of this position would be 11 : AM-8 : 00PM. Some weekend rotation is expected for either shift.

Position Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or equal equivalent.

Experience : Some industrial / manufacturing experience is preferred.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Good personal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Customer relations & problem resolution skills.
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-Starter, ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Perform reading, writing, and speaking at a basic level.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide various units of measure.
  • Ability to apply rational principles to solve practical problems and situations that may occur on the factory floor.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule type form.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to; hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Adhere to all customers facility safety policies and business ethics
  • Handles waste to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • License(s) / Certification(s) / Training Required :

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass security clearance.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check / drug tests.
  • Nexus Card is a plus.
