This is your chance! We seek a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a data architect with an early focus on data strategy and process automation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in implementing our data strategy and supporting the development of AI and RPA solutions. You will be a driving force in augmenting, optimizing, and re-engineering business processes across key finance, HR, and IT departments. In this role, you will work closely with Mercer's technology Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and their business partners to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to contribute significantly to our data strategy and establish direction for emergent technology adoption at Mercer. It also offers a unique opportunity to grow into an enterprise leadership position in data and automation.ResponsibilitiesContribute to executing our data strategy, ensuring data quality, governance, and accessibility.Support developing and deploying AI / ML models to solve business challenges.Design, develop, and implement RPA solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.Analyze existing business processes, identify automation opportunities, and implement solutions to optimize workflows.Work closely with finance, HR, and IT teams to understand their needs and deliver effective automation solutions.Collaborate closely with Mercer's technology CoEs and their business partners to leverage expertise, ensure alignment with technology standards, and maximize the impact of automation initiatives.Contribute to developing a roadmap for applying AI / ML and RPA in manufacturing environments.Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data science, AI, and RPA.Other duties as assignedQualifications and ExperienceRecent graduate with either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Strong understanding of AI / ML concepts and techniques.Experience using Python or R for data analysis and modelling.Familiarity with RPA development platforms like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Blue Prism.Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices.Basic understanding of business processes and how data and automation can drive improvements.Eagerness to learn, adapt, and embrace new challenges.Proactive, self-directed, and passionate about innovation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to grow into a leadership role.Experience with Google Suite is considered an asset.Bilingualism in German or Spanish would be an advantage. Salary & BenefitsThe salary for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Our group benefits package, which has no waiting period, includes extended health and dental benefits, a Health Care Spending Account and a fitness allowance.RRSP - We provide a competitive RRSP contribution plan, with base contributions made by Mercer, which can be supplemented with personal contributions matched by the company up to a certain %.
