  • Monday through Friday starting at 11 am availability is a must.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and all major holidays.

At COBS Bread, we're excited to offer you the opportunity to work with a passionate team that is dedicated to providing fresh baked goods and an exceptional customer experience. We are currently looking for a Part Time Sales Assistant at our West Hill Centre location in Guelph.

Your Role as a Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant, you will help create a warm and welcoming environment for our customers while sharing your love of freshly baked products. You will be an integral part of our team, helping to prepare our bakery, serve customers, and maintain the high standards of quality that COBS Bread is known for.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Work collaboratively with a small team to deliver exceptional customer service and get to know our regular customers
  • Assist with merchandising products and implementing marketing displays
  • Help maintain a clean and organized bakery, and assist with baking as needed (yes - you will learn some baking skills!)

    • Requirements

    What We're Looking For :

  • A person who takes pride in providing a personable and friendly experience for our customers
  • Prior experience in retail or food service is a strong asset
  • Experience with cash handling and credit / debit transactions is preferred
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with others

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand / walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Frequent use of hands for tasks and operating the POS system
  • Capability to lift and carry items up to 7.5 kg regularly, and up to 22 kg occasionally
  • Comfortable with bending, reaching, and performing tasks above and below shoulder level
