The company specializes in the use of advanced technologies for the refurbishment of superalloy components. We are currently seeking a qualified Engineer with Gas Turbine Repair experience.Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to) : Designing and engineering of repairs and upgrades to gas turbine hot section componentsEngaging in continuous improvement efforts to assist with shop floor efficiencyUnderstanding and interpreting component drawings and material specificationsCommissioning, tooling on specialized equipmentProject management tasksUtilizing various design softwarePerforming fixture designsDesigning mechanical componentsEngineering and designing for welding, brazing, HVOF and coatingPerforming Failure Modes Effect AnalysisKey Skill Requirements : Strong interpersonal and inter-departmental communication skillsHighly organized, motivated and project-drivenExcellent multi-tasking skillsAbility to work effectively in a dynamic team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeSuperior written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsKey Education / Experience Requirements : Graduate of a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering program requiredB Eng or BA Sc requiredP. Eng. designation an asset5+ years of related experience requiredExperience in gas turbine, design, processing or advanced manufacturing preferred, ideally within a flight repair environmentIntermediate to advanced knowledge of CAD, Solid Edge or Solid Works requiredStrong knowledge of project management principles required Previous experience in a manufacturing environment requiredPrevious experience the following preferred : Gas turbine components / combustion mechanical designcomponent mechanical designhot section component fixture designwelding, brazing, HVOF, or coating designaircraft / aircraft engine component repairFME AnalysisPrevious experience in a repair shop environment, an assetPrevious experience with machining of superalloys a strong assetPrevious experience with DER and ODA repairs an asset Application Information : All roles are full-time.
