Spectrum Health Care is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Educator to support our Palliative Care Program in Mississauga . This role is part of Spectrum’s integrated Specialty Program for the Mississauga OHT to deliver a highly integrated, one team, community palliative care model for the Mississauga community. The Clinical Educator, Palliative Care supports nurses, PSWs and Allied Health who are part of a tight-knit, collaborative team from across the health sector that will deliver the next generation of palliative care in Mississauga, providing holistic proactive, seamless care and support to patients, families and caregivers – enhancing quality of life, comfort, dignity and security in patients’ end of life journey.
The Clinical Educator , Palliative Care is responsible for planning, leading, implementing and evaluating comprehensive orientation and clinical education programs at the program and corporate levels for registered nurses / registered practical nurses.

Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Practice, you will work in collaboration with the leadership team, nursing managers, nurses and other stakeholders to promote clinical excellence in the delivery of high quality, safe, patient-centered care. You will review and revise policies and procedures related to professional practice and clinical care and provide education and evaluation of the learning program. You will actively participate in quality improvement activities, including shaping and monitoring quality indicators which will guide the development of tools to support teaching and learning for staff and patients.
