Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Operates a shuttle and other vehicles to transport passengers and small goods.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Must be physically able to work steadily at assigned duties.
  • Must possess current Class 4 drivers’ license.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for :

  • Operates and drives 24 passenger bus transporting passengers and or supplies as needed. Also operates other fleet vehicles as may be required.
  • Maintains the appearance and performance of the vehicle by either performing or scheduling maintenance and repair work.
  • Loads and unloads materials being transported in the vehicle, including provision of assistance to passengers as required.
  • Cleans vehicles, garage, or other assigned areas; disinfects vehicle as required.
  • Maintains and submits driver’s log for distance traveled, fuel consumption and other information.
  • Performs miscellaneous transportation services and deliveries.
  • Shows others how to perform tasks or duties as part of the departmental orientation.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area
