This position requires someone who is confident in their abilities, can communicate effectively with clients, and it self-motivated, positive and a team player.
Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Full cycle accounting experience from data imput to final financial statement and tax returns
- Complete CRA filings such as HST and payroll remittances, etc.
- Contact CRA on behalf of clients as needed
- Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards and CPD training requirements
- The ability to interpret CRA correspondence and communicate it to clients
- Audit experience would be an asset
- various Accounting tasks as needed
- Ability to communicate and work as a team
A successful candidate will have :
Software proficiency in : MS Excel, Word, Simply Accounting, Quickbooks, Caseware and Taxprep3-5 years public accounting experience in CanadaStrong technical expertise and analytical skillsAbility to detect and solve problemsCan complete files efficiently with a few review notesAble to communicate well with clients both verbally and in writingThe right candidate should have proven experience in similar roles and must have a CPA designation.
Bilingualism and experience in a professional services firm will be considered an asset
