The Canadian portion includes 47 sites across Northern Canada, providing early warning and airspace surveillance.As the Company Security Officer (CSO), you will oversee security compliance for Nasittuq, including Government of Canada security clearances, the Controlled Goods Program, and the protection of sensitive assets. You’ll lead a small team and play a vital role in fostering a security-conscious culture across diverse operations, including remote Arctic locations.What You’ll Do : Hands-on involvement in the day-to-day administration of Government of Canada security clearances and Controlled Goods compliance.Act as Nasittuq’s Controlled Goods Designated Official, conducting training and audits.Develop and implement corporate security plans for NWS and CFS Alert contracts.Deliver Security Awareness Training to employees company-wide.Oversee security investigations, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with security policies.Lead a small team providing hands-on day-to-day guidance and support to ensure effective security operations across all Nasittuq operations.Secondary Duties : Maintain classified documentation and manage secure handling processes.Administer the Communications Security Account and oversee related procedures.Conduct risk assessments to address vulnerabilities and improve crisis response plans.Collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and enhance security measures.Who You Are : Education : Post-secondary education in security management, law enforcement, or a related field.Certification as a Physical Security Professional (an asset).Experience : 5+ years managing security programs, including Government of Canada clearance processes.Expertise in access control, surveillance, and emergency response planning.Leadership of personnel and the performance management of direct reports.Skills : Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong ethical judgment and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.Excellent communicator, capable of simplifying complex security concepts.Proven ability to lead in high-pressure situations while managing competing priorities.What We Offer : Competitive salary and employer-matched pension plan (5%).Opportunity to lead critical security initiatives in a unique operational environment.Employment Equity : Nasittuq values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
