The Payroll Functional Analyst provides functional support in the maintenance & development of payroll / HR functional processes and assists in the configuration and implementation of systems to support payroll processing. The Analyst will also support the transition of the payroll processing from JD Edwards to Oracle HCM.
The Analyst will need to be able to bridge the gap between functional HR / payroll teams in a multitude of businesses and align activities to work with developers to help them design, test and support integrations to various ERP systems and outside benefit providers.
Note : This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you'll do
- Maintains & enhances payroll systems by analyzing business requirements, collaborating on design, testing and implementing solutions to support payroll processing.
- Leads cross-functional troubleshooting, analysis and testing with various teams.
- Execute complex analysis, identify root cause of problems & contribute to development of solutions while recommending improvements to maximize system potential.
- Provides payroll processing support ensuring that system errors are rectified to ensure timely payroll processing.
- Optimize payroll / HR system configuration and processes to support payroll activities.
- Create documentation and training on systems and processes.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
What you'll bring
10+ years of work experience in complete life cycle or ERP and HR systems (upgrades, conversions, integrations).Previous experience in JD Edwards, Oracle.Strong knowledge of payroll & HR in a unionized environment.Knowledge and experience with developing functional design documents, technical and user documentation, and configuration changes.Experience in supporting production upgrades, change control, and user testing and training.Able to independently develop Functional Design Documents.Hands-on experience delivering projects with vendor partners. Manage vendor timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams.Well-organized task planner with the ability to scope projects in a highly detailed manner.Strong leadership qualities : ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Development, and Business Operations.Ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders to influence the desired outcome.Attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and skilled in manipulating data.Integrity and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.Organizational skills and ability to work with varying and large amounts of information.Customer service, team-work and professional orientation.Why you'll love working here
