Responsibilities
What will your typical day look like?
As an Financial Analyst you will be primarily responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations and other financial reporting responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities :
- Prepare monthly journal entries including revenue and expenses journal entries and related analysis
- Prepares quarterly reconciliations and resolves general ledger and sub ledger discrepancies
- Assist with month end and quarter end financial reporting and statutory reporting
- Prepare ad hoc reports and accounting analysis as directed
- Support Accounts Receivable including cash application and outstanding balances
- Support finance team and assist other departments with finance related requests
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Characteristics :
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 1 year of working experience within Finance / Accounting environment
- Insurance industry experience an asset
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate initiative and works well independently and in a team environment
- Thrives in a fast pace, constantly changing environment
