Senior IT Project Manager Consultant (12 Contract) Location : Burnaby, BC / Hybrid (Our client prefers a local candidate but maybe open to remote across Canada depending on expierence / skillset)Staffing Placement OpportunityProject Description : Our client is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager Consultant for the successful completion of high risk and highly complex IT projects or the IT component of business projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time by leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and applying project management principles.Work Assignment Requirements : The Project Manager will work on a E-recruiting and onboarding project that will modernize and enhance our clients recruitment and onboarding capabilities. This includes redeveloping business processes and replacing the SAP e-Recruiting system with the modern and innovative SAP SuccessFactors (SF) Recruitment & Onboarding system.The project manager will manage and lead the delivery of this project working directly with our clients team members and stakeholders as well as with a systems integrator partner. Candidate can be remotely based with occasional travel to Burnaby, BC based on project needs. Candidate should be willing to work on Pacific time zone hours.Expierence, Education, and Skills :
- A minimum twelve (12) years of project management experience in complex infrastructure technologies or equivalent.
- expierence leading a project team to successful project completion by mobilizing project resources, tailoring standard delivery methodology, preparing project gate reviews, and ensuring project readiness using creativity, flexibility, and an ability to manage time and priorities to support the achievement of business objectives throughout the company.
- expierence planning, directing, and reporting on IT projects or the IT aspect of business projects by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources, and status and creating documents such as project charter, project management plans and schedules, risks and issues logs, financial reports, and completion reports so that the projects are implemented as planned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Economics, related discipline, or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation or equivalent, an asset
- Experience in public sector or utilities, an asset
- Excellent working experience with systems and software development lifecycle and IT project management methodologies
- Primavera P6 skills, an asset
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
