Job descriptionTechnical diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in Electrical Design / Drafting. 7-12 years of relevant electrical CAD experience (design drafting or equivalent experience using CAD systems). Expertise in control systems and field wiring, CSA electrical code, and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of instrument specifying, sizing, and selection. Control system programming experience is a plus but not required. Experience with construction sites, including the ability to perform site inspections. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Commitment and enthusiasm for learning. Ability to work effectively and communicate within a team environment.

What You'll Be Doing :
- Creating detailed brown and green field wiring diagrams, including control panels, junction boxes, marshalling stations, field termination details, cable trays, conduits design, and cable schedules.
- Generating detailed bills of materials for all components, ensuring compliance with CSA Electric Code 22.1.
- Designing and developing instrumentation and control systems.
- Designing automation systems, including PLC, DCS, and communication networks.
- Preparing instrument and control system layout drawings, installation drawings, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, specification sheets, panel layout, instrument index, and cause & effect matrices.
- Specifying instruments and final control devices.
- Performing site inspections and collaborating with contractors during construction.
