Job description

Are you a maintenance technician or millwright looking for a new opportunity in Vaughan / Woodbridge?

You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment at a food manufacturing company!

Location - Vaughan, ON

Shift - Afternoons 3-1130pm

Pay - $38-$40 (depending on license / experience)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in plant equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and modifications on machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Build and maintain control panels, assist with the installation of new electrical systems, and conduct necessary machine setup.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and provide innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, assist in equipment changeovers, and support lean manufacturing practices.
  • Operate machine shop equipment to fabricate parts, conduct tests, and make recommendations for equipment improvements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout procedures and proper use of protective equipment.
  • Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • 433A Industrial Millwright License
  • not required but asset
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, packaging equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, fitting, welding, metal work, and using machine shop equipment.
  • PLC experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to safety and food quality standards.
