Job descriptionCommunication Skills Curiosity about the technology Quick learner Passionate about working with complex technology As the Solution Architecture Lead within Corporate Information Solutions, you will be responsible for driving Solution Architecture best practice across our CIS teams Reporting to the Head of CIS Shared Services Enterprise Architecture, you will provide team management, strategic direction and thought mentorship to our team of global Solution Architects, enabling them to deliver solutions aligned with our technical strategy. You will collaborate with stakeholders across our organization, contributing towards the successful delivery of business goals whilst adhering to technical strategy, driving innovation promoting reuse through effective solution design In addition, you will manage the resource allocation and technical development for our team of global Solution Architects Work with other as part of the Product Development and Engineering Leadership Team Lead the Solution Architecture practice, ensuring standards, frameworks and policies are in place and aligned with our technical strategy Manage a high performing team of Solution Architects whilst driving a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing Collaborate with MMC Enterprise Architects to drive the evolution of the technology portfolio in support of the business strategy Ensure that project Architecture resourcing needs are met, and that architecture processes and policies are adhered to during delivery Represent the Solution Architecture practice in discussions with central functions and partners across the organisation (such as Enterprise Architecture) Provide technical expertise on key initiatives that have a departmental impact (such data centre migrations) Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in solution architecture Proven experience as a senior solution architect with hands-on experience in solution design An expert understanding of solution architecture standards and best practices Extensive experience designing solutions that can be rapidly built, tested and deployed using Agile best practices Demonstrated experience in guiding and developing a team of Solution Architects Excellent relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with senior business and technology partners Advanced communication skills at all levels, including the ability to convey complex technical strategy and obstacles to senior business and technology partners In-depth knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices, APIs, cloud computing, data insights and modernisation patterns MEAN stack, Python, or any other middleware technologies AWS Cloud Multi Factor Authentication, Single Sign On (OAuth, SAML) Containerization / Kubernetes Microservice based architecture Secure By Design concepts, Secure DevOps Exposure to Big Data / Data Lake / LakeHouse / BI Tools Application Performance Monitoring (APM) techniques Large language models Agile Recognized document standards (C4, UML, Archimate)
