Job description

We are looking for a professional electrical engineer, to take charge of building electrical system design. We are looking for either a EIT engineer with a significant potential who will get trained internally, or an experienced engineer (5-10 years) able to carry out the complete electrical design of a building. The person sought will also be called upon to participate in integrated fire alarm testing mandates.

Type of mandates to be performed :

Participate in building's electro mechanical design mandates;
Participate in the preparation, design and coordination of plans and specifications;
Actively participate in the management of your mandates;
Participate in our building forensic's mandates;
Participate in our integrated testing mandates, according to the S1001 standard;
Periodically visit construction sites for monitoring, supervision and testing purposes;
Diligently monitor your project needs and project progress in order to proactively establish solutions to possible problems;
Produce professional technical reports, in both french and english.
Engineers of Quebec and / or Ontario; Minimum of 3 years of experience in building electricity OR great learning potential; Know the construction standards of Quebec and / or Ontario; ASP construction (health and safety) or WSIB certificate; Bilingual : French & English (bilingualism) spoken and written; Knowledge of the MS Office suite; Proficiency in Autocad or Revit is an asset; Commissioning certifications such as CBCP or BCxP are an asset; Knowledge of the S1001 standard is an asset.Participate in our integrated testing mandates, according to the S1001 standard;

Requirements :

Bachelor degree in electrical engineering;

Being a member of Ordre des ingénieur du QUébec and / or PEO in Ontario;

Minimum of 3 years of experience in building electricity or great learning potential;

Be knowledgeable in national building construction Codes, in Quebec and / or Ontario;

ASP construction (health and safety) or WSIB certificate;

Bilingual : French & English (bilingualism) spoken and written;

Knowledge of the MS Office suite;

Proficiency in Autocad or Revit is an asset;

Commissioning certifications such as CBCP or BCxP are an asset;

Knowledge of the S1001 standard is an asset.
