Senior Automation Designer - Mechanical

Job Title : Senior Automation Designer Mechanical

Location : Cambridge Ontario Canada (onsite only)

Job Description :

• 7 years of experience as an Automation Engineer
• 4 Medical industry / domain is mandatory or Electrical Electronics Component Manufacturing also may be acceptable (should be the latest experience)
• 8 years of working experience of common machine shop techniques.
• 6 years experience in Solid Works mandatory
• Must have experience with LineAutomation (design & install special purpose machine (SPM)
• Mandatory experience with manufacturing automation domain (3 years at least)
• Must have a thorough knowledge and handson experience of drafting principles.
• 2 years experience in AutoCAD
• A thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics. A thorough knowledge of the use of electrical devices (i.e. switches load cells LVDTs etc.).
• Must be capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts.
• Review electrical requirements with respect to input and output devises with electrical designers.
• Assist the fabricators machinists toolmaker and electricians in the debug integration resolving problems and completion of systems.
• Strictly follow CSA N285 / NQA Quality requirements
• Organize documentation including quotes drawing registers correspondence requisitions drawings schedules etc. on projects you are supervising.
• Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials speeds horsepower temperature pressure force etc. as related to machine and tool designs
• Provide design support related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0
