Furthermore, we are a multidisciplinary team , comprised of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Clinical Counsellors, and Rehabilitation Assistants. We are currently looking for a Registered Occupational Therapist who aligns with our purpose and core values.
Responsibilities :
Active Rehabilitation : Provide dynamic and functional rehabilitation to clients with diverse injuries and conditions, including those with significant neurological deficits.Collaborative Approach : Communicate effectively and collaborate with members of the healthcare team and referral sources.Specialty Program Involvement : Conduct assessments, consultations and treatment for specialized programs such as the WSBC Early Concussion Assessment and Treatment Program.Documentation : Maintain accurate electronic clinical records using Jane software.Caseload Management : Independently manage caseloads with support from team lead and administrative staff.Interdisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with the clinic’s multi-disciplinary team as necessary.Integration of Cutting-edge Technologies : Utilize advanced technologies such as PoNS neurostimulation, NeuroCatch mobile EEG, Neurocom Balance Testing, Neurofeedback, and more (training will be provided) in conjunction with treatment to assist clients in surpassing plateaus.Additional Responsibilities : Perform other duties as required.Qualifications and Experience Requirements :
Registration : Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC)Experience : Open to new grads or candidates starting out in their career or more experienced candidates – culture fit is most important!Clinical Expertise : Experience with post-concussion, neurological populations, and mental health challenges preferredDriver’s License : Possess an active Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle for transportation.Versatility : Ability to work both in clinic settings and in the communityPrevious Experience : Prior experience with ICBC, LTD, and / or WorkSafeBC (e.g., OT Services, ECAT) considered an assetCommunication Skills : Excellent communication and report-writing skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilitiesReturn to Work Experience : Experience in a Return to Work setting is beneficialMedical Legal Experience : Familiarity with medical legal work is advantageousCognitive FCE Experience : Experience in Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is preferredWhat we offer :
