Job description

The Pastry Cook will work alongside the Pastry Chefs to prepare a daily assortment of mouthwatering pastries and other baked goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare season and bake food as directed meeting special dietary instructions as required.
  • Become proficient at creating all varieties of pastries and baked goods including but not limited to cakes breads cookies scones and desserts.
  • Become proficient at creating allergy or diet sensitive pastries.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Qualifications :

  • Culinary degree or 12 years of related work experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
