We’re currently seeking a temporary Ultrasound Team Lead (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Team Lead) for our Mira clinic on a 16-month long contract. In this role, you’ll empower ultrasound technologists by ensuring smooth workflow, high-quality patient care, and adherence to protocols. You’ll provide mentorship and support to your team while fostering collaboration across departments. What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & Mentor : Guide and support the Mira clinic ultrasound team, fostering a positive work environment while providing feedback and mentorship.
- Optimize Workflow : Contribute to the efficient management of daily operations, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Support Growth & Development : Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training for new team members and practicum students. Lead ongoing education initiatives to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Performance Management : Help implement and oversee performance strategies to support team success.
- Equipment Oversight : Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment to meet safety and compliance standards.
- Quality & Compliance : Maintain accuracy in ultrasound procedures, adhering to established protocols, healthcare regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement strategies to enhance quality, efficiency, and patient care.
- Accreditation Participation : Contribute to the accreditation process, including committee meetings and compliance efforts.
- Cross-Department Collaboration : Act as a liaison between Radiologists, Clinic Administration, X-Ray Technologists, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Specialty Skill Development : Gain proficiency in advanced specialty skills to support specialist clinics.
- Adaptability : Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support clinic operations.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Credentials : A bachelor's degree or diploma in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited Canadian institution. CRGS credentialing through Sonography Canada.Leadership Experience : Previous leadership or supervisory experience with strengths in team motivation, task delegation, and problem-solving. Additional training or certifications in leadership or management are an asset.Clinical Expertise : At least two years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer, with proficiency in a wide range of ultrasound procedures.Technical Skills : Comfortable working with various software programs and technologies, demonstrating adaptability in a digital environment.Commitment to Growth : A dedication to continuous learning, staying current with advancements in sonography, patient care, and people management.What We Offer
