Responsibilities :

  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • On-site Measuring, drafting, accompany Project Manager to meet with Clients.
  • Produce shop drawings, fabrication and installation drawings
  • Track and prioritize project timelines and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Other office tasks such as ordering and maintain supplies. (CRL hardware)

Qualifications :

  • Valid G2 / G Drivers Licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Portuguese is an asset)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2-year technical degree required.
  • Proficient in 2D and / or 3D CAD using platforms such as Microstation and / or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledgeable of steel detailing practices and applicable standard industry conventions.
  • Possesses skills in geometry, trigonometry, unit conversions, quantity take-offs and basic bills of material.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • TEKLA experience an asset.

    Salary : Hourly / Contract / Negotiable

    The company is located Lawrence & Caledonia. Salary is negotiable. Applicants must have a G2 driver's license or higher, proficient in operating Office software, and preference will be given to those with academic or professional experience in architectural design.

    There will be a probationary training period of 1-3 months with only basic hourly pay. Following the probationary period, there will be paid holidays plus a 4% holiday bonus, and at the end of the year, there will be a year-end bonus based on performance metrics.
