What you'll do
Position Title : SAP iXp Intern - Communications Specialist
Location : Vancouver, BC
Expected Start Date : 2 January 2024
Contract Duration : 8 months
Work Hours : 40 hours per week
- Research, draft and edit clear and concise internal communications for multiple audiences including employee news articles, leadership messages, PowerPoint presentations, emails, announcements, program / project correspondence and other organization-wide communication pieces
- Create (from concept to delivery) captivating promotional materials and multimedia communications such as digital banners, infographics, social media posts, videos and more for our internal audiences
- Ensure that all internal communications are delivered in accordance with the company branding and voice
- Measure and analyze communication success metrics to improve communications performance
- Manage content for Product Support's internal collaboration portal, SAP Work Zone
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain stakeholder relationships

Educational requirements
- Candidates should be in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration or equivalent
- This role is best for someone in their second internship / Co-op or beyond
- Experience in the tech industry is an asset
- Willing to commit for 8 months full-time internship starting January 2, 2024
Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills to engage employees across different regions, countries, line of businesses and cultures
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive; Experience with SharePoint (not necessary but would be an asset)
- Eye for design : Basic understanding and creative eye for graphic design, turning ideas and concepts into visually effective collateral;
Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Figma (not necessary but would be an asset)
- Experience with video production software such as Premiere Pro an asset but not necessary
- Ability to work cross-functionally with people of different skill sets and across multiple time-zones
- Organized, detail-oriented and can manage time effectively with top-notch prioritization skills
- Openness to learn : Not only receptive to feedback and suggestions but also willing to ask for feedback
- Ability to effectively manage and track project timelines
