Our client is a leading manufacturing and distribution business that going through extensive growth.

The Buyer will be responsible for supporting the day to day purchasing activities supporting multiple plants. Experience in You will prepare and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.

This will consist of both direct materials as well as indirect services. The Buyer will also be responsible for managing inventory and expediting.

The Buyer will identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiates contracts, and establishes relationships to secure the best prices and quality for materials and services.

You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, resolving any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing, and conducting regular performance reviews are also key responsibilities.

Additionally, the Buyer analyzes market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and implements strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.

The Buyer will also generate regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.

As the ideal candidate for this role you must have 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Buyer in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

You must have experience in preparing and placing purchase orders on a daily basis. PO management will be a key part of this role.

Experience in managing direct and indirect categories will be beneficial for this role. You must have experience in working with multiple plants and managing the smooth flow of good and services.

You also must have prior experience in sourcing and identifying vendors for good or services Experience working with an ERP system, proficiency in excel with pivot tables, v-lookups is also a necessity in this role.

This role requires a candidate that is self-sufficient, is a problem solver and can effectively communicate with all levels of the business.
