The Opportunity : We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Administrator to support our growing HR team. The HR Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, including recruitment support, HR documentation, benefits administration, and employee relations. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in various HR functions and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of employee records. You will work closely with employees, managers, and external partners to support HR initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Location : This role is a full time; on-site at 2319 St. Laurent Blvd., Suite 300, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 4J8. Key Responsibilities : Recruitment Support : Post job ads, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and assist with selection processes. HR Documentation & Onboarding : Maintain employee files, draft contracts, and support new hire orientation. HRIS & Data Management : Manage HRIS databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and generating HR reports. Benefits Administration : Assist with enrollments, answer benefit-related queries, and liaise with providers for issue resolution. Compliance & Policy Support : Support policy communication, assist with handbook updates, and maintain HR documentation. Employee Relations : Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, resolve employee issues, and support engagement initiatives. Performance Management : Assist in planning performance reviews, supporting employee development plans, and coordinating training programs. Key Qualifications : Diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum 1–2 years of HR administrative experience, including recruitment. Exceptional communication skills in all mediums (English mandatory). Strong organizational skills with the ability to function constructively in a dynamic environment. Positive attitude, superior listening skills, and a customer-service-oriented mindset. Ability to meet fixed deadlines, initiate and follow up on actions. Excellent interpersonal and written / oral communication skills with the capability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, suppliers, and customers. Demonstrated ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and changing job priorities. Proven experience using web-based and HRIS tools, sites, and techniques specific to recruiting and managing employee information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to respond to sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
