Controller
Job Description : Our client aprominent construction company is currently seeking a Controller tolead their finance team.
The Controller will oversee financialoperations reporting directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain financial policies andprocedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements andindustry standards.
- Analyze monthly quarterlyand annual financial reports to provide insights into businessperformance and inform strategic decisionmaking.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processcollaborating with department heads to establish financial targetsand monitor performance against goals.
- Managecash flow treasury functions and banking relationships to optimizeliquidity and maximize returns on investments.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivableprocesses ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices andpayments.
- Coordinate the annual audit processand liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with auditrequirements and timely completion of auditdeliverables.
- Provide strategic financialguidance to senior management including analysis of key performanceindicators profitability and costsaving opportunities.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on specialprojects such as system implementations process improvements andstrategic initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPAdesignation required.
- 7 years of progressiveaccounting experience including managerial roles.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingstandards.
- Strong leadership communication andinterpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency inMS Excel and financial software applications.
- Experience in the construction industry or related fieldis preferred.
