The Wholesale / Demand Planner is responsible for merchandise planning, forecasting,
and inventory management to maximize sales and profitability across all channels. This
role bridges merchandising, sales, and supply chain operations to ensure product
availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain merchandise plans and forecasts to predict future product
demand
Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growthCollaborate with merchandising and sales teams to determine optimal productassortment
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment strategiesMonitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement measuresRecap, analyze and communicate actual to plan results with recommendations forforecasting open to buy
Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance metrics, and inventory reportsPartner with production and logistics to ensure timely product deliveryPrepare regular reports on key performance metricsSupport new product launches with initial forecasting and demand ramp-up planningProvide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as neededQualifications
3+ years of experience in retail / wholesale planningBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field is an assetStrong analytical aptitudes, must be precise and rigorousKnowledge of complex applications of MS ExcelExperience with inventory managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to translate complex datainto actionable insights
