We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join BrokerLink and work out of any of our Alberta, Ontario or Atlantic region. On a Permanent FT Basis.

Successful candidate will report to Learning & Development in Human Resources. Primary role is to instruct within our systems training discipline by teaching EPIC workflows. In addition, may create and deliver instructor led training in various skills. Use adult learning principles to deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences through a range of methodologies. Prepare, support, and train employees and in delivering an exceptional customer experience increasing individual productivity and building various skills and competencies. Align training with current strategic objectives. Adhere to department, program and regulatory policies and procedures.

What the Role Entails :

  • Educate employees through one or more L & D disciplines.
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate training programs for new system releases, existing system updates, and new products
  • Research, create, prepare, and present educational materials
  • Support and promote the adoption and application of workplace learning.
  • Ongoing administrative management on existing and completed training courses and programs.
  • Consistently participate in program planning in collaboration with team members and external stakeholders. Identifying and developing solutions to fill training gaps.
  • Consistently participate in various projects within the HR department and other departments.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

    • The Successful candidate will have :

  • If you feel you have the equivalent skills, please apply
  • Adult Education Certification is an asset.
  • CAIB 1 & 2 or three CIP courses
  • 3-5 years of Insurance experience as a Personal Insurance Advisor
  • 1 Year of instructional experience is an asset
  • Strong application of National workflows
  • Sales & service skills
  • Adaptability
  • Facilitation and teaching abilities
  • Ability to use the following programs : EPIC, MS Office Suite, Insurer Portal use, various program delivery platforms
