Manager of Finance Atira Women s Resource Society

Position Details :

  • Hours of Work : Monday to Friday 8 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM (40 hours per week)
  • Compensation : $85000 $100000 per annum (based on experience)
  • Location : Gastown Vancouver & Remote

About the Role

The Manager of Finance will play a key strategic role in supporting the Executive Director Internal Systems & Audit by overseeing financial management for Atira s property portfolio. This role is vital to ensuring longterm financial stability and growth through effective budgeting forecasting financial reporting and compliance.

The Manager of Finance will collaborate closely with property managers and senior leadership to optimize cash flow capital expenditures and investment strategies . Additional responsibilities include leading the finance team streamlining financial processes preparing reports for stakeholders and fostering relationships with auditors lenders and regulatory bodies .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee budgeting forecasting and financial reporting for Atira s property portfolio.
  • Optimize cash flow management and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Advise on investment strategies and financial sustainability.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with auditors lenders and regulatory bodies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of five years experience in accounting and / or financial analysis (preferably in property management)
  • CPA designation is required
  • Handson Payroll & Benefits experience with expertise in coaching and supervising payroll / benefits staff
  • Strong communication leadership and mentoring skills
  • Proven team management experience
  • Ability to think critically solve problems and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook Excel Word)
  • Preferred Experience & Assets :

  • Prior experience with Yardi or Sage 300
  • Experience with UKG HRIS & Sage is an asset
  • Experience preparing monthly financial statements
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Strong ability to listen ask the right questions and share insights
  • Additional Requirements :
