Responsibilities

  • Be able to identify good architecture / design / use cases for API gateway platforms and when to tell a producer team "NO you can't do that on GW"
  • Lead the API management Center of Enablement process : schedule meetings / agenda for review and provide feedback on design / solution while making sure it fits within our overall solution objectives (ex : no business rules in GW, etc...)
  • Define how the engagement process to get access to the CoE will work (Jira Service Desk ticket as an example)

    • Qualifications

  • Knowledge on enterprise integration patterns and when to suggest a pattern while understanding its advantages and disadvantages (Enterprise Service Bus, Micro Services, Serverless, etc...)
  • Strong communication skills as this individual will have to tell teams NO they cannot do this as it does not fit within the desired solution / capabilities space for our platform
  • Business & Technical knowhow : being able to understand what an API producer team is trying to accomplish and provide feedback
