Role Responsibilities
- Monthly preparation and review of cost center spend, activity rates comparison of actual vs budget including review and collaboration with department leads
- Forecasting and analysis of COGS variance results volume absorption, operating efficiency, production variances, wastes, PPV & other variances
- Forecasting and analysis of COGS variance Material Ledger, production variances, wastes, freight, E&O, Asset write off & other variances
- Participate in the annual budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting process
- Maturing Inventory Review (MIR) process - work closely with Maturing Inventory group to provide accurate data for use in FP&A / Supply Chain decisions
- Review and analysis of energy, water and electricity plant budget and actual performance
- Review and analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L GL accounts including preparation of Journal entries for month-end closing
- Perform SAP month end close process and yearend audits
- Certify Blackline accounts reconciliations monthly
- Ensure compliance with Excise requirements including filing of monthly Excise returns with supporting backups
- Other tasks ITF support team TRACC initiatives, barrel counts, fixed asset counts and other finance / accounting related tasks
- Review the control environment, perform and implement internal control procedures, maintain KPIs and lead efforts to address, identify deficiencies and drive continuous improvement including Inventory, Fixed Asset, Financial and operational controls
- Participate in the annual budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting process
- Lead Fixed asset management, plan for compliance with corporate policy on fixed asset count and tagging, impairment review, acquisitions and disposals including monitoring of actual spend vs budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
- SAP, Business Intelligence and Microsoft Office application experience required.
- Manufacturing / production experience preferred.
- Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay and / or Product Costing background preferred.
- Alcohol and Excise Tax experience a plus.
