Intermediate Project Manager in Electrical Engineering

The role will report to Project Lead and Director of Operations and will fulfil requirements for program / portfolio management services for municipal electrical utilities that is aligned to support different internal work groups as well as provide centralized oversight.
It is understood that the goal is not only to perform program / portfolio management functions but also collaboratively work with the client to assess program management practices against best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
This role will be based in Toronto, ON.
Your role within the team :
Support preparation of monthly / quarterly reports including updates to Dashboards and presentation deck for gap analysis, Program Delivery Reports and Planned Capital Project Completions KPI monitoring.
Responsible for gathering large data from various sources within client organization; analyzing and identifying gaps / trends and variances.
Support the development of plan line by creation of forecast assumptions and spend plan lines.
Support the forecasting of the Design and Construction Execution Work Program through the development of spend and attainment plan lines for Capital and Maintenance projects / programs for assigned client groups.
Participate on identifying of risks that impact the successful delivery of programs for assigned client groups and reports to Program Manager.
Aggregates project level information into Portfolio level delivery reporting.
Fosters collaborative relationships with various stakeholders and acts as the liaison for all projects under assigned area of jurisdiction.
Coordination with the planning group to reflect new and revised priorities; this includes scopes and portfolios.

The ideal candidate :
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering. PMP or other Project management designation is considered an asset.
5 to 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, particularly in Power Distribution. Electrical Distribution Utilities experience is considered an asset.
Project Management experience, required.
Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills. Understand business process redesign, analysis for business projects, identification of areas for improvement and development of new initiatives.
Proficient in use of MS Office, MS Project, SAP and other PM tools. Knowledge of Tableau will be considered an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
