Accountable to track, status and update maintenance activities and part records using a computerized maintenance management system.Assist with the evaluation, planning and execution of job plans and preventative maintenance programs.Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment within the plant to ensure the ongoing and reliable operation of plant equipment and systems.Assess, report on, promote and carry out process improvement initiatives across the facility, specifically with regard to machine and / or system reliability and improved performance.Maintain the preventive maintenance program, carry out maintenance activities, and replacement or repair of defective parts, components or system performance testing.Evaluate condition of instrumentation devices in operation by checking calibration, listening to their sounds, verifying pressures, temperatures, etc. for electrical and equipment installations and completed work as required.Direct and lead contractors during plant shutdowns and perform emergency response as required.Will be required to lift, carry and / or handle heavy objects, climb ladders and use maintenance tools and equipment.Willing to work indoors and outdoors, in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise and dust. Exposure to office and manufacturing environments.Ability to coordinate oils and grease replenishment, and proper disposal and control of maintenance wasteAfter hours on-call and on-site support as required.Qualifications :
Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaCompletion of a post-secondary education as a General Machinist with 3-5 years experience in electro-mechanical repairs. Millwright license preferred.Knowledge of repair & maintenance processes, equipment and materials.Ability to communicate with equipment operators and contractors.Draft various reports, proposals, recommendations and correspondence to management.Strong computer skills and ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.Familiarity with GD&TExperience with basic fabrication equipment, milling machine, drill, press, welding. 1-3 years preferred.Exposure to high voltage environment, hydraulics and pneumaticsTraining certifications on lift carts, fork lifts, skyjackAre you interested in this position?
