Hays has partnered with a leading Financial Servicespany to hire a Claims Assessor for an 11-month contract. The position is 100% remote.
Your new role
Document administrative duties include filing and storage. Entering, reviewing, and verifying data from paper or electronic forms into a standard database. Assisting with coordination and logistics of meetings, travel, and expense tracking. Attending training pertaining to the class action, including e-courses related to trauma-informed approaches tomunication. Determining whether the claim forms areplete and whether the information required to process the claim is available and current. Reviewing submitted claim forms to determine whether the applicant meets claims requirements. Identifying irregularities on claim forms and submitting documentation, and flagging issues as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Post-secondary education in business management, accounting, risk management, legal studies, or related field preferred. 3+ years of industry experience, with previous experience in claims administration, underwriting, or clerical review preferred. The ability to read and understand necessary documentation includingernment issued identification, declarations, power of attorney documents, estate documents etc. as needed. The ability to understand the terms and eligibility requirements of the claim, and apply them to answer claimant's questions.
