Express Employment Professionals - Cloverdale / Langley office's client, in the area of the Sur-Lang border is a leading supplier of their products in Canada.

They are currently looking to fill the role of Warehouse Manager in their Langley location. This is a full time permanent position.

The Warehouse Manager provides leadership and oversees the warehouse operation in a safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy, procedures, ISO standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.

The Warehouse Manager is a strong people leader and ensures the safe and proper receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of product.

Job Duties

  • Work within the general framework laid down by senior management.
  • Assume accountability for warehouse operations; operate within budget for operations and capital requests.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel including hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, initiating corrective or disciplinary actions and documenting absences.
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure achievement of quality and productivity objectives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Effective people management skills with the ability to build rapport with various personality types.
  • Strong knowledge of all warehouse procedures and techniques including packaging, sorting, stacking, product placement / picking, loading / unloading trucks, etc.
  • Knowledge of sales operations including logistics, carriers, policies, procedures and product.
  • Experience with warehousing software preferred.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and phone skills.
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
