CWB Equipment Financing is a team of specialized individuals who know heavy equipment industries inside and out. We are not office dwellers - our crew members often start the day in a branch and end the day on-site with our clients.

We are out in the community every day speaking directly with clients, and no two days are the same.

The opportunity

Are you a seasoned professional with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and budgets, particularly in large ticket transactions, within the leasing industry?

Do you have a strong background in financial analysis and credit packaging? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in expanding our leasing portfolio within the Calgary area.

The day-to-day

Sales driven. Relationship driven. Engaged. Motivated

Develops and implements a personal business plan and activity-based sales strategies to deliver strong, profitable, and balanced growth of equipment loans and leases.

Communicate directly with internal partners, customers and external professionals (accountants, etc.).

Analyze financial statements and develop credit packages to support larger dollar transactions.

Drive the credit and lease processes through the preparation of applications and documentation.

Apply effective communication to ensure customer expectations are successfully achieved with all internal / external collaborators.

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow with.

Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education ( business, commerce, finance, sales, marketing diploma / degree ) or real-life experience ( 5+ years of financial services sales experience preferably in equipment financing and leasing).

You don’t need letters behind your name (CFA, CPA) but you will need the ability to understand financial statements, how to complete analysis, and possess a sound understanding of effective risk mitigation strategies.

Credit adjudication experience and a basic knowledge of collateral security and documentation would be considered strong assets!

The Successful Incumbent

This role requires a seasoned professional well-versed in credit and sales across transportation, construction, and manufacturing.

The incumbent should excel in negotiation, conflict resolution, and time / people management skills, complemented by superior interpersonal and communication abilities to forge key relationships.

Demonstrating strong entrepreneurial business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and analytical skills, they should uphold unwavering integrity and an intrinsic drive for excellence.

They must thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, maintaining confidentiality and adapting to new technologies.

As a strategic problem solver, they prioritize client and business needs, valuing collaboration to achieve shared objectives and strategic initiatives effectively.
