Job description

As a leader in the MRO industry, we partner with customers to make sure they have the right maintenance and repair parts on hand when needed.We’re looking for an Intermediate Pricing Analyst responsible for our Canadian pricing organization's operational and analytical functions, including price creation and profitability analysis, reporting, sales team education, and maintenance of corporate pricing databases.This position is located at Lawson’s Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, ON.   • Develops pricing models, including profitability and freight factors.
  • Ensures pricing accuracy, working in collaboration with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Maintains pricing structure and pricing data, both current and historical.
  • Prepares analyses, reports, charts, and graphs monthly. Prepares ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Performs financial modeling and analysis of existing accounts and company pricing.
  • Proposes solutions to meet organizational pricing and profitability goals.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the competition.
  • Creates new-item pricing, ensuring compatibility with current lines, profit margins, and market competitiveness.
  • Demonstrates project management skills and the ability to deliver on concurrent initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external pricing customers.
  • Performs situational pricing upon request.
  • Special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or related field, with 3 years of experience in the field or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytic and computer skills with an aptitude in mathematics and experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent data management skills. Capable of planning and accurately executing to goals.
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex analytics.
  • Self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative problem-solving and a certain degree of latitude are expected.
  • Ability to execute and attain measurable results.
  • PC literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred; SAP experience is a plus.
