Rate of Pay : $21.00 per hour
Location : 3368 Carcallen Rd, Richmond
Terms : Permanent, Part-time (27 hours / week)
Shift : Monday / Wednesday / Friday 7am - 9am & 2 : 30pm-6pm & Tuesday / Thursday 7am - 9am & 2 : 00pm - 5 : 30pm
Start Date : September 4th 2024 or as soon as possible

YMCA Activity Leaders, Support & Inclusion enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment facilitating adapted programming allowing children ages 5 -12 to participate meaningfully in all aspects of the program.
Our Support & Inclusion Activity Leaders are responsible for ensuring children with diverse abilities or support needs have an inclusive before and after school care experience.

Your qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Experience working with children 5 12 with additional support needs
- Emergency First Aid and CRC C & AED
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and / or Nutrition an asset
- Experience working with children with diverse needs
- Experience with Toileting support is required
Your responsibilities :
- Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs to fully participate within the program.
- Provide individual support to children within the program setting when required.
- Help to build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children through supporting their strengths and stretches.
- Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviors.
- Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program.
- Provide enhanced ratio to support all children in the program, which may entail providing individual support from time to time.
