About the Role :

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Terminal Manager is the leader for their terminal, located in Bracebridge, Ontario. They will be accountable to the P&L and overall operational performance of the terminal by providing exceptional service to our customers, and supporting the staff on-site as needed to meet business objectives. This role is instrumental to maintaining and further developing our exceptional brand by providing positive, professional and efficient solutions.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Implements operational policies, objectives, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Executes operating plans and tactics to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.
  • Evaluates and optimizes current and proposed operational systems and procedures to gain efficiencies and to minimize risk.
  • Ensures compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Monitors financial and operational metrics to measure achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Maintains terminal needs, including building and security requirements.
  • Provide direction and assistance to staff, ensuring performance measures are completed.
  • Participation as needed in the interviewing process for new members.
  • Monitor team performance including but not limited to dispatching activities.
  • Liaison with head office for support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in managerial capacity required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ transportation / logistics experience required
  • Excellent MS Office Suite experience required
  • Dispatch / Operations experience an asset
  • Knowledge of flatbed operations is an asset
  • Post secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Experience with and with TMW software an asset
