  • Mechanical Project Coordinator (Heavy Industrial)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Project Team in heavy industrial environments, such as oil & gas refineries, pulp and paper facilities, and related industries.

    Must Haves :

    • 2+ years of experience in project coordination within mechanical or heavy industrial construction settings.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical construction services, sub-trade practices, and industrial workflows.
    • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents accurately.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in heavy industrial environments.
    • Nice to Haves :

    • A technical degree or equivalent post-secondary education in a related field.
    • Familiarity with specific industrial environments such as oil & gas refineries or pulp and paper facilities.
    • Experience leading meetings, creating action plans, and driving project outcomes.
    • Exposure to proposal preparation and business development activities.
    • Previous experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
    • Ability to proactively identify challenges and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
    • Responsibilities :

    • Assist in preparing proposals, project submissions, and related documentation.
    • Act as the primary liaison with clients to ensure project expectations are clearly communicated and achieved.
    • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure smooth execution.
    • Collaborate with QA / QC teams, engineers, and contractors to maintain alignment with project goals.
    • Attend site meetings to collect progress updates and help identify any potential risks or key deliverables.
    • Monitor budgets, expenses, and risks, making adjustments as required to keep projects on track.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and scheduling standards in line with industry best practices.
    • Manage closeout documentation to ensure a seamless handover at the end of each project.
    • Provide ongoing support in refining proposals and improving project coordination processes.
