Software Developer CityView - Remote OVERVIEW Do you have experience with modern software languages and frameworks? CityView offers an exciting Software Developer role in our Research and Development team.

This role requires a technical and creative mindset, understanding local government processes, and navigating complex software systems.  Reporting to the Manager of Research and Development, you'll collaborate with developers and QA staff to develop and maintain our customizable software. This position is budgeted for a starting base salary of $60,000 to $70,000 / year based on experience. WHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE BE

• Contribute to the development of new enhancements, address existing issues, and deliver highly impactful, innovative features for CityView’s product line.
• Embrace a mindset of continuous learning, collaborate effectively within a team or work independently as needed.
• Explore and experiment with emerging technologies.
• Use MS Visual Studio, C#, TypeScript, HTML and third-party libraries to develop our off-the-shelf software suite designed for local governments.
• Communicate with internal staff to ensure software releases are thoroughly tested, delivered, and documented.
• Efficiently triage, problem-solve, and resolve production issues with urgency.
• Participate in weekly meetings to clarify goals, design functionalities, and refine task estimates. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ​
• 2+ years of Professional experience developing complex and high-performance software solutions in a timely and cost-effective fashion.
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML
• Experience with modern web technologies : Angular, Aurelia, React, Blazor
• Experience with IIS web server, web application deployment and debugging
• Exposure to Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Proficiency and understanding of relational databases, MS SQL Server WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
• Experience with business process in local government, permitting, business licensing and property management
• Experience with ESRI GIS, mapping tools
• Experience with maintaining and evolving enduring software products over a long time period
