Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team for a multi-year, multi-million dollar capital project. The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

This is a full-time position for a multi-year project.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, execute, and sustain a functional scheduling management system.
  • Establish assignments, activities, and tasks by collaborating with project managers and technical specialists.
  • Monitor project deadlines and schedules, identifying potential delays and providing prompt responses.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS), timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with corporate team members and external partners to manage project timeframes and ensure target accomplishment.
  • Track project progress, gather data, analyze it, and create reports to aid in decision-making.
  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to track and manage project schedules.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Propose strategies for maintaining projects on time and within budget.
  • Assess productivity and create status reports on project progress.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in project scheduling, preferably in the engineering, construction, or nuclear industry.
  • Proven experience working in a Project Scheduler position on capital projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
