About the Role :

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimating, and 10+ years of Electrical Experience, as well proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid. A strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods is essential. This role involves preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, reviewing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers and engineers to ensure project scopes and budgets are accurate and comprehensive. The Electrical Estimator will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. They will be adept at building and nurturing relationships with clients, acting as a key sales person for the company. This role requires a strong background in construction, particularly in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) projects. The candidate should have the right industry connections and the technical background needed to understand the electrical field from a hands-on perspective.

Responsibilities :

• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates
• Reviewing project plans and specifications
• Collaborating closely with project managers and engineers
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Building and nurturing relationships with clients
• Acting as a key sales person for the company

Required Skills :

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimating and over 10 years in the electrical field. This candidate will have experience with mid to large size contractors and have a strong local network. Proficiency in Accubid and a strong grasp of electrical systems and construction methods are essential, along with excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. A background in hands-on electrical work is highly preferred. This role also demands knowledge of power distribution, EV systems, and automation, with experience in projects ranging up to $5 million. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to grow, take initiative, and become a leader within the company. The ideal candidate will also understand labor and how to boost productivity in the company, in order to encourage and drive success!

Pay range and compensation package :

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $115,000, along with RRSP matching up to 3%, comprehensive health benefits, and bonus eligibility.
