- Position Title : Facility Engineer - Environmental
Overall Objectives and Responsibilities Include but not limited to :
Provide professional environmental engineering services to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial and corporate environmental regulations, policies and procedures for the company.Manage compliance programs relating to air, water, waste, refrigerant management and emergency response as required under Company Corporate Requirements, EPA, OWRA, TSSA and the fire code.Manage and control hazardous material storage and disposal, pollution prevention initiatives, recycle programs, environmental inspections and training to maintain routine compliance.Project management of professional engineering consultants and contractors for the design, construction and renovations related to facilities and equipment.Provide design, estimating, specification development and inspections for the installation of facilities and equipment.Manage energy conservation and sustainability programsTake ownership of facility environmental systems, develop specifications, standards and operating procedures, investigate and resolve deficiencies, ensure ongoing compliance with applicable codes, regulations and standards.Develop scope of work, bid packages, control costs, schedule and supervise on site activities for facility environmental and energy conservation projects.Develop and promote efficiency improvements in building systems to reduce energy usage, maintenance costs, scrap and waste generation.Manage engineering consultant's activities to ensure compliance with owner's standards and interests.Primary area of responsibilities is with Windsor area Company Canadian facilities and periodically with Company manufacturing and regional locations throughout CanadaAssignments and projects outside of Environmental Engineering are required.Requirements :
years relevant experience an asset but will accept new graduates.Experience with facility systems and activities such as environmental compliance and permitting, certificate of approval (air / noise), waste management, sustainability, energy conservation, utilities supply and distribution, emergency preparedness, an asset.Familiarity and experience with interpreting and complying with the Environmental Protection Act and Ontario Water Resources Act.Ability to interpret and develop building and facility drawings and specifications.Strong skills in project management, organizational, teamwork, written and verbal communication.Willingness to accept a variety of assignments including those that fall outside of environmental engineering.Experience in the use of AutoCAD a benefit.Knowledge in Office Suite software.Education :
