Mission
Join our building mechanics team at the office of your choice in Eastern Quebec (Quebec City Saguenay CteNord or BasSaintLaurent)! As an engineer youll work on a variety of regional and provincial projects in the institutional commercial residential and industrial sectors. Working with your team youll be responsible for the design load calculations and layout of plumbing heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and fire protection systems.
This position is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to be part of a team of engineers technicians and draftsmen working on stimulating projects. Youll also have the chance to work as part of a passionate team where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.
Our hybrid work mode allows you to telecommute work onsite at the office or combine the two.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the design and development of plans and specifications for ventilation air conditioning heating and cooling plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and established plans and specifications
- Carry out surveys and studies and write technical reports
- Help solve technical problems
- Prepare progress reports and contribute to the development of the action plan.
- Act as a resource person for the technical team
- Prepare and monitor fee budgets and make recommendations. Participate in partial supervision of construction work
- Attend client meetings.
Qualifications :
University diploma in building services engineeringA minimum of five years relevant experienceMembre of the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ)ASP Construction cardLEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable development and energy efficiency principles (an asset)Working knowledge of Revit software (an asset)Proficiency in spoken and written FrenchGood command in English (an asset)Valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle (an asset).In addition to financial compensation CIMA offers :
