Overview :
Our client a leading name in the manufacturing industry is in search of a Financial Analyst (Manufacturing Experience an asset) to join their dynamic team in a fulltime hybrid role. This hybrid role is based in Markham ON and you should be comfortable coming to the office 23 days per week. Youll ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations and assist in both internal and external audits. Reporting directly to and supporting the FA Manager your success in this role will depend on your strong analytical skills proficiency in Excel and ability to thrive in a dynamic highpressure environment.
As a Financial Analyst you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing financial information to support decisionmaking processes in the organization. Your responsibilities will include financial planning and analysis where you will develop and maintain financial models essential for budgeting forecasting and longterm financial planning. Strong expertise in Excel is required as you will be analyzing and interpreting complex financial data identifying trends variances and opportunities for cost optimization. In this fastpaced environment comparable to the demands of a private equity firm you must be comfortable managing a high workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Your role will also involve conducting detailed cost analysis of manufacturing operations including raw materials labor and overhead and collaborating with operations teams to implement cost control measures. You will prepare and present comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports ensuring accuracy during monthend and yearend closing processes. A key expectation is that you can explain and articulate financial data provided by accounting to both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders as well as present your findings to upper management with confidence.
Additionally you will monitor inventory levels and costs optimize inventory turnover and evaluate capital expenditure proposals with ROI assessments. Your analytical mindset and ability to think creatively ("out of the box") will be essential in developing financial models for scenario analysis and contributing to strategic decisionmaking. Youll collaborate closely with departments such as Operations Procurement and Supply Chain to provide valuable financial insights.

Support function for the Senior. Engineering Designer. a) Review Work Orders : Reinforce correct information coming from PM s and captured into the WO before it s released to the shop floor. b) Checks drawings for correctness. Review work orders for accuracy and completeness, issue work orders (as required). Review inventory levels for accuracy and completeness. Review shipping pick lists for accuracy and completeness. Revise and update ERP data; create processes / procedures for inputting future data where necessary. Oversee the SCAF (Sub Contractor Agreement Form) process. Analyze the current raw materials management systems for efficiency and effectiveness. Provide support, coaching and implementation assistance for new production initiatives as required. Ex. new warehouse inventory management system. Perform duties and tasks in other departments as required under the direction of the Management team (i.e. Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving and Production).
