Tekdata Metal Solutions is a company based in the south shore of Montreal; we machine parts and design, and we manufacture tailor-made project and transportation parts. We are specialized in sheet metal manufacturing. Since we have been in constant growth in the last few years, we are looking for a mechanical designer to add to our engineering department.If you are looking for a constantly changing environment and you’re able to express a concept.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in asimilar role
  • Knowledge related to engineeringdrawing
  • Be able to meet deadlines and timeallowed per project
  • know about fabrication ofsheet metal
  • Metrology and inspectionknowledge (Vernier, micrometre,height gauge, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Inventor, Solid Works,and office suite
  • Bilingual in English / French (speakingand writing)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical drawings,exploded views and assembly usingInventor and Autocad
  • Produce fabrication drawings ofprofessional quality (free of errors)
  • Solve technical design problems
  • Contribute to the improvement ofTekdata design and draftingpractices
  • Consult with engineers, orproduction director to establishproduct requirements
  • Produce support documentationsuch as closing jobs on Erp systems,etc..;
  • Maintain a constant workflow andmaximize the productivity of thedepartment.
