Job description

About the Role - This position will lead and direct the routine functions of Human Resources department of including Talent Acquisition, administering pay, benefits, and leave, maintaining and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the management team and under the directions of the supervisor to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with store operations departments to understand skills and competencies required for the openings.
  • Coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs.
  • Coordinates all training programs of store staff and assigns own department resources for timely execution of those programs, organize timely training resource for store staff.
  • Selects and supervises Human Resources related suppliers.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assists the implementation of company safety and health programs.
  • Maintains company compliance with meeting all government reporting requirements.
  • Follows the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and maintains the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends to management team including but not limited to best practices of other retail brands such as Incentive plan, labor hours management, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions with proven experience, Human Resources experience in retail experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is highly preferred.
